The Hardest Post 4/14/19

This is the hardest post to write...no doubt...because as much as we so miss our family and pets...we will really miss being here in Belize...nine days is just noooooot quite enough...if we could only figure out a way to get everyone to move down here...hmmmmmm.....whaddaya think!????? (Do you know how hard it is to take a sad picture when you are sitting in Belize????) 9 days, though, without a thought of all the bills, chores and responsibilities, can you imagine????....such a much needed stress and brain vaca!!! We are so grateful to have had the pleasure of staying at the Sunset Cabana wih Erika...her cabana is bright, comfortable and genuine....and Erika is friendly and oh so helpful with any questions or help we needed...even getting a taxi arranged to take us to the boat! We hope you all have the chance to meet her and stay at the Sunset Cabana!! We are packing now...a little browner than we came...a lot more relaxed than when we came...and with such a brainful o...

Saturday on the Island 4/13/19

Easy day here...sadly our last full day...and we seem to have adjusted quite well to the 'Go Slow' of the island... We slept in...then made our way to Paradiso Cafe, (same place we brunched yesterday), because we were craving their sandwiches...me, a BLT and Gwennie, a salami...I'm not sure if it's the combo of being extra hungry, the rolls they serve them on, or the garlic sauce, but man...they are G O O D! Throw in some fresh watermelon, or orange, juice and find s a t i s f a c t i o n! So, with full bellies we hit the store for more milk for our coffee and a few things to bring home as gifts..then back to the Sunset Cabana for a little nap and blogtime! Next, we rented bikes and riding to the dock to take the boat across the 'split' to see the other side!  Made a quick stop for a few more braids...
